2019 Rancher of the Year 

Frank Armstrong


Frank Armstrong comes from a pioneer ranching family of Hebbronville. He was born in 1939 in Laredo, Texas to Henry & Frankie Mae Yaeger Armstrong and was raised in Hebbronville.  A fifth generation Texan, he obtained both a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor of Law degrees from The University of Texas. He is Manager of Armstrong Ranch, Ltd. which owns and operates a Beefmaster cattle ranching operation in Jim Hogg County and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of The First National Bank of Hebbronville. He resides in Corpus Christi where his law practice is limited to representing land and mineral owners. Frank is married to Paula S. Armstrong and has one son, Frank Yaeger Armstrong (Buddy), three daughters Denise Armstrong, Terri Reul, Sarah Jones and seven grandchildren Charles Yaeger Armstong, Clayton Armstong, Michael Reul, Chistopher Reul, A.C. “Cinco” Jones, V, W.W. “Billy” Jones, IV and Cecilia ”Cece” Jones.  His community involvement in Corpus Christi includes serving as Chairman of the CHRISTUS Spohn Development Foundation and past member of the Board of Trustees of St. James Episcopal School. He is a member of the King’s Men and was named King Alonso 56th in the annual Buccaneers Day celebration. In his spare time Frank enjoys hunting, fishing, reading, traveling and spending time at the ranch with his family and friends.
